We are back on the road for the winter! As Winter arrives in Canada we pack the van and head south from Ontario, destination: New Mexico. After five days on the road we stop at Conchas Recreational Area to relax for a couple of days by the lake. Then we head north to Taos. There we cross the gorge of the Rio Grande to do some wild camping in the desert. We are the only ones camping there and we enjoy the solitude. Then we visit Taos and Taos Pueblo, the World Heritage site. After that we are ready again for nature and solitude, so we go about 45 minutes north to Wild Rivers National Recreation Area. Because of the US government shut-down the park is very quiet, few campers, a few hikers and cyclists. We spent several days there, two days in one campground, then 3 days in another. We enjoyed the hikes and again solitude. Enjoy the video!
