This is the last episode of 2025. We are still in southern Arizona, in the Tucson area. I start the video alone, since my wife flew back to Canada for a funeral. A few days alone allow me to reflect on the death of our friend, life and death, while camped in the desert west of Oracle, AZ. After a few days I moved deeper in the desert but higher up and closer to the hills. There I found beautiful rocks, flowers and sunsets. After picking up my wife at the Tucson International airport we camped in Ironwood Forest National Monument. It’s always special to be among the old saguaro cacti, and I love filming them. We had to get the van serviced, and that took 3 appointments. We spent the time waiting for a replacement part to arrive in Madera Canyon, just southeast of Tucson. We love it there. There are many good hiking trails. We hiked about 10 km (6 mi.) every day for 3 days. Madera Canyon attracts many birds and while we are not avid bird watchers it was nice to see and film birds we had never seen before. We end this video in Bisbee, AZ. Bisbee is a pleasant little mining town with a vibe of its own. We know of a nice place high above town where there are some dispersed campsites with great views and great sunsets.
Thank you for following us this year. Enjoy the Holidays and be safe. We will see you in 2026!
