An important step is now completed. That was the insulation and carpeting of the fibreglass hardtop. It was by no means a fun job, but it should make our home on wheels a little more pleasant to live in. Time will tell. It was not only a dirty job but also a real pain to lay the carpet due to all the curves in all directions. The automotive carpet is thin and fairly pliable but still difficult to follow all the curves. Working upside down for the most part, and in a restricted volume makes it that much more difficult. Now that I have done it there are things I wish I’d done differently of course, and even though I approached the project slowly I think I could have gone slower and done better. Anyway, the image below will show you how it looks. Next will be laying a plywood floor and thinner plywood on the sides.
