Hello friends of Sin Rumbo. As I move along with the build of our Ford Transit campervan I share with you how I installed the swivel seat base under the passenger seat. I chose to go with the Scopema kit made in France and highway legal in Europe. From my research online it seems to be the best option. It is quite a process to install since the seat has to be removed from the vehicle, the plastic trim on the sides of the seat cut and the airbag wiring re-routed. It took me 5 hours to comple the installation. I am pleased with the result. The seat is maybe only an inch higher than stock at the most, is firmly secured facing forward, and swivels effortlessly once unlocked. When seated facing the interior of the van the space is wide open and the camper feels much larger. In a future video I will install the swivel base on the driver side. That will require disconnecting and removing the two batteries under the seat, and lowering the hand-brake. Stay tuned for that!
Muy bien , un pasito más… Saludos Philippe.
Gracias Darío. Un abrazo grande!
